Irina Bradley, a tutor in traditional arts, explains the symbolism of icons and that she believes God healed her cancer after she prayed before an icon of Mary."

Irina exhibited a number of icons at Wolfson College, Oxford University as part of Byzantium Endures exhibition, organised by Dr. Elena Ene D-Vasilescu, Senior Tutor in Theology and Research Fellow in Byzantine Studies at Oxford University. The exhibition coincided with a conference of the Slavonic and East European Mediaeval Studies Group (SEEMSG). Irina gave a talk and demonstrations of icon painting at the event. It was a great honour to welcome Metropolitan Kallistos Ware at the exhibition. |
St Frideswide of Oxford October 2015

Irina’s icon of St Frideswide of Oxford commissioned privately earlier this year was on loan to Christchurch Cathedral in Oxford to celebrate the Saint’s life. St Frideswide is an early British saint born in the seventh century and her feast is on the 19th of October.

The Russian Summer Ball takes place at the Carlton Club on Saturday June 29th. The Silent Auction features the Fedorovskaya Mother of God icon painted by Irina Bradley.

stones, finished in linseed oil and copal varnish.
The Estimate is £2500. Proceeds go to the Romanov fund for Russia.
Since the establishment in 1992 of the Fund for Russia by initiative of several senior members of the
Romanov family, the Fund has been instrumental in many philanthropic activities
in Russia and the CIS.

White Nights Event at the V & A

On the 31st of May Irina is taking part in the White
Nights Event at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. She will be demonstrating
techniques of icon painting, including gilding and shell gold painting. Three of
Irina’s icons will be on display at the V&A at this event, as well as some

Icon Anicon Exhibition at Wells Cathedral.

Irina will be exhibiting alongside other alumni and teachers from the Prince's School of Traditional Arts. Two of her icons will be on view at Wells Cathedral from 20th to 30th May. The two icons are of Archangel Michael which is featured on the poster and Archangel Gabriel.

The exibition took place from 14th December 2011 to Friday 13th January 2012 at the Pushkin House, 5A Bloomsbury Square, London WC1Q 2TA.
